Verpackt wird der ganze Wahnsinn so liebevoll und aufwendig, dass man seine frühen Factory Platten und die thailändischen Warp Bootlegs aus dem letzten Urlaub dafür hergeben möchte. Als ästhetisches System ist Digital Kranky mehr als die Summe seiner einzelnen Teile, in dem die letzte CD-R Kompilation, der limitierte Badge und der verstrahlte Onlineflyer nur weitere Puzzleteile im großen Spiel des Lebens sind, wo sich Underground Ökonomie, verquere Verwertungslogik und asymmetrisches Marketing einen letzten Showdown mit dem Konsens des Kapitalismus liefern.

And the whole madness comes in a packaging, put togeher with so much love and care, that it makes you want to swap your old Factory twelves or the Warp bootlegs you bought on your last Thailand holiday for it. As an aestethic system Digital Kranky is more than the sum of it’s parts, a system in which the latest CD-R compilation, the limited edition badge and the druggy online flyer only serve as further puzzle pieces in the grand game of life where underground economy and asymmetric marketing are up for a final showdown with the consensus of capitalism.
